Anyway, wanted to let you all know that the Los Angeles Composting Facility in Griffith Park offers free compost (up to 6 garbage bags' worth) to individuals. I think you're supposed to show proof you live in Los Angeles city, but frankly, when I went there the other day, no one checked.

Also, if people end up having a bumper crop, there's a program called Grow A Row that connects individual gardeners with food banks that'll gladly accept your extras.
